This year, the event moves outside and takes place on Hockey Day Minnesota and will include coverage on FOX Sports North. It is free and open to the public.

Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 to assist Defending the Blue Line (DTBL) a non profit organization helping children of military members afford every opportunity to participate in hockey by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.

Prizes for top team fundraisers:
  • First place: Suite at a Minnesota Wild game
  • Second place: $1,000 grant to your local youth hockey association
  • Third place: $500 grant to your local youth hockey association
In addition to the prizes above, any team raising $1,500 or more will get a free dinner for 25 at Chipotle.
