Wild Prospects Report - Feb. 1


Houston Aeros (21-11-3-9, 54 points, 2nd place in the West Division)
- The Houston Aeros went 0-2-0 last week, losing 5-2 at Oklahoma City (1/27) and 5-2 at San Antonio (1/28). C David McIntyre led the team in scoring with three points (1-2=3) and RW John DiSalvatore scored in both games. G Matt Hackett stopped 25 of 29 shots at Oklahoma City, while G Darcy Kuemper saved 24 of 28 at San Antonio. DiSalvatore and Hackett represented Houston at the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic, helping the Western Conference to victories in both the Skills Competition and the AHL All-Star Game. The Aeros play four games this week: vs. Texas (2/2), vs. Lake Eerie (2/4), vs. Milwaukee (2/5) and at Chicago (2/7).

Canadian Hockey Leagues   

LW Brett Bulmer -
Kelowna (WHL): The 2010 second round pick ranks second on his team in scoring with 39 points (20-19=39) in 34 games. He's posted nine multi-point games this season.

D Josh Caron - Everett (WHL):
The 2010 free agent signing has yet to register a point in 22 games with Everett since being traded from Kamloops, where he totaled six assists. His 124 PIM ranks sixth in the WHL.

C Charlie Coyle - Saint John (QMJHL):
San Jose's first round pick in 2010 (28th overall) has at least one point in every game since joining Saint John. He's posted five goals and three assists through six games and is a +5 so far.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL):
The seventh round pick (191st overall) in the 2011 Draft has put up 18 points (5-13=18) through 30 games and is a +6 on the season.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL):
The 2010 free agent ranks tied for sixth on his team in scoring with 24 points in 50 games. He's scored 10 goals, including seven on the power play, and has notched 14 assists.

C Zack Phillips - Saint John (QMJHL):
The 2011 first rounder now ranks seventh in the league in scoring with 65 points (26-39=65) through 44 games. He leads the team with a +38 rating
   
College/USHL

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has put up four goals and three assists over his last eight games, bringing his point total to 16 (5-11=16) in 33 games.

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA):
The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 notched a goal and an assist in a weekend sweep of St. Cloud State over the weekend. He's now accumulated 11 goals and 19 assists in 29 games to rank second on the team in scoring. He's posted nine multi-point games and is a +13 on the season.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA):
Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 owns 13 points (3-10=13) in 27 games and ranks second on the team with 31 blocked shots.

LW Mario Lucia - Penticton (BCHL):
Second round pick (60th overall) in 2011 Draft has piled up 72 points (30-42=72) in just 41 games to rank tied for third in the league in scoring. He's averaging 1.8 points per game, which is tied for the League lead.

D Nick Seeler - Muskegon (USHL):
Fifth round pick (131st overall) in 2011 has four assists over the last six games, bringing his point total to 15 (2-13=15) in 32 games played.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA):
Second round pick (59th overall) in 2010 Draft has put up three goals and five assists over his current four-game scoring streak. He's notched 14 goals and 18 assists through 22 games to rank second on the team and tied for 11th in the nation in scoring. He's registered 10 multi-point games.

International

D Jonas Brodin - Farjestads BK Karlstad (Sweden):
The first round selection (10th overall) in the 2011 Draft leads his team with a +5 rating through 38 games. He's registered five assists on the year.

F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 has racked up 45 points (19-26=45) in 38 games. He ranks second in the league in goals and third in overall scoring. HIs +12 rating is tied for second.

D Bjorn Krupp - Cologne (Germany):
The 2009 free agent signing has notched seven assists through 39 games.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden):
The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft notched three assists last week to bring his point total to 27 (8-19=27) in 37 games. He ranks third on the team in assists and scoring.

Goaltenders

Dennis Endras - HIFK (Finland):
Played six games with Houston of the AHL, going 3-2-1 before being assigned to HIFK in the Finnish League. He is 10-6-1 with HIFK and owns a 2.18 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (Sweden):
The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft ranks fifth in the league with a 1.85 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): 
The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2011 has posted a 2-0-1 record over his last three games and is now 6-5-8 on the year. He owns a 2.92 goals against average and a .902 save percentage.
