G Steve Mason made 15 of his 34 saves in the third period, and C R.J. Umberger scored a goal in the final minute of each the first and second periods, as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-1 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,958 at Xcel Energy Center. RW Devin Setoguchi scored a goal for Minnesota, which hosts the Anaheim Ducks Tuesday for a special 6:30 p.m. start on NBC Sports Network.
RW Devin Setoguchi scored his 12th goal of the season. He has three points (2-1=3) in his last two games. This marks the second time this season Setoguchi has scored a goal in back-to-back games.
D Marek Zidlicky posted his 12th assist – his first since Jan. 12.
The Wild set a season-high with 15 first-period shots in a home game.
Minnesota fell to 10-8-4 when scoring first. Columbus is 5-24-2 when allowing the first goal.
The Blue Jackets scored a power play goal at Xcel Energy Center for the first time in eight games.
Columbus won in regulation for the fifth time in 22 all-time attempts at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild is now 15-5-2 versus the Blue Jackets at home.
