Post-Game Notes vs. Anaheim - Feb. 14
RW Corey Perry scored the go-ahead goal with 7:39 left in regulation and G Jonas Hiller made 17 saves, leading the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 comeback victory over the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center. LW Dany Heatley scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season and G Josh Harding made 23 saves for Minnesota, which concludes a four-game homestand Thursday, as the Winnipeg Jets visit Xcel Energy Center for the first time.
LW Dany Heatley scored his 19th goal of the season – his sixth in nine games. Heatley is one goal shy of his seventh straight 20-goal season. Twelve of Heatley’s 19 goals have been the Wild’s first tally of the game.
LW Kris Foucault made his NHL debut, becoming the 39th player – and 13th rookie – to skate for the Wild this season. The team record is 40, set last season.
D Marek Zidlicky had an assist for the second straight game. He posted his first power play assist since Nov. 8.
G Josh Harding made 23 saves, moving to 12-3-1 at Xcel Energy Center since Nov. 5, 2009.
Minnesota went 1-for-3 with the man advantage. The Wild power play is now 5-for-23 (21.7%) in the last nine games including 4-for-12 (33.3%) in the last five home games.
The Wild is 15-6-8 in one-goal games. Anaheim improved to 12-5-9.
Minnesota fell to 16-2-3 when leading after two periods. Anaheim won when trailing after 40 minutes for the first time (1-21-1) this season.
Minnesota has lost four home games in a row in regulation for the first time in team history. The Wild has been outscored 9-2 in the third period of those games.
The Wild’s attendance of 17,552 helped the team eclipse the 8,000,000-million fan mark all-time in the regular season. The total now stands at 8,007,189.
