Wild Prospects Report - Feb. 15

Houston Aeros (25-14-12, 62 points, 2nd place in the West Division)
- The Houston Aeros went 2-1-0 last week, winning 5-1 at Grand Rapids (2/10), 5-4 at Grand Rapids (2/11) and losing 3-0 at Milwaukee (2/14). RW Justin Fontaine led the Aeros in scoring on the week with four points (1-3=4). LW Kris Foucault (2-1=3) and RW Jed Ortmeyer (1-2=3) had three points each. G Matt Hackett went 1-0-1, stopping 58 of 61 shots, and G Darcy Kuemper went 1-0-0, saving 30 of 34. This week, the Aeros play back-to-back games at Abbotsford (2/17, 2/18).

Future Wild Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues   

LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL):
The 2010 second round pick scored a pair of goals on Friday night and now ranks second on his team in scoring with 41 points (22-19=41) in 37 games. He's posted 10 multi-point games this season and is a +6.

D Josh Caron - Everett (WHL):
The 2010 free agent signing had gone 22 games without a point since being traded to Everett, but has since recorded five assists over the last five games. Prior to being traded, he had posted six assists in 20 games with Kamloops.

C Charlie Coyle - Saint John (QMJHL):
San Jose's first round pick in 2010 (28th overall) put up a goal and an assist on Sunday to boost his point total to 14 (8-6=14) in 10 games. He's a +7 thus far.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL):
The seventh round pick (191st overall) in the 2011 Draft has put up 19 points (5-14=19) through 35 games and is a +6 on the season.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL):
The 2010 free agent picked up a pair of assists on Wednesday and now ranks tied for sixth on his team in scoring with 26 points in 56 games. He's scored 10 goals, including a team-leading eight on the power play, and has notched 14 assists.

C Zack Phillips - Saint John (QMJHL):
The 2011 first rounder now ranks tied for sixth in the league in scoring with 70 points (27-43=70) through 48 games. He leads the League with a +40 rating.
   
College/USHL

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has put up 10 points (4-6=10) over the last 12 games to boost his point total to 19 (5-14=19) in 37 games.

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA):
The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 has accumulated 12 goals and 19 assists in 31 games to rank second on the team in scoring. He's posted nine multi-point games and is a +13 on the season.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA):
Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 owns 13 points (3-10=13) in 31 games and ranks second on the team with 32 blocked shots.

LW Mario Lucia - Penticton (BCHL):
Second round pick (60th overall) in 2011 Draft has piled up 78 points (34-44=74) in just 45 games to rank fifth in the league in scoring. Penticton has now won a league record 32 games in a row.

D Nick Seeler - Des Moines (USHL):
Fifth round pick (131st overall) in 2011 was traded to Des Moines after posting two goals and 13 assists in 32 games with Muskegon. In five games with Des Moines, he's posted a goal and two assists.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA):
Second round pick (59th overall) in 2010 Draft has put up 34 points (15-19=34) in 25 games and is a +2 on the season. He ranks second on the team in scoring, but missed the team's last game due to injury.

International

D Jonas Brodin - Farjestads BK Karlstad (Sweden):
The first round selection (10th overall) in the 2011 Draft ranks fifth on his team with a +5 rating through 40 games. He's registered five assists on the year.

F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 has racked up 48 points (19-29=48) in 41 games. He ranks second in the league in scoring and tied for second in goals. He ranks tied for third in the league and leads the team with a +20 rating.

D Bjorn Krupp - Cologne (Germany):
The 2009 free agent signing has notched seven assists through 41 games.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden):
The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft has put up 31 points (9-22=31) in 40 games. He ranks third on the team in scoring and second in assists.

Goaltenders

Dennis Endras - HIFK (Finland):
The 2010 free agent signing is now 11-6-3 since going to Finland and ranks fifth in the League in both goals against average (2.10) and save percentage (.924).

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (Sweden):
The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft ranks fourth in the league with a 1.90 goals against average and eighth with a .924 save percentage.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): 
The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2011 is 7-6-8 as a true freshman with Harvard with a 3.03 goals against average and a .899 save percentage.
