Wild Prospects Report - Feb. 22


Houston Aeros (25-16-12, 62 points, 2nd place in the West Division)
- The Houston Aeros lost twice at Abbotsford last week, falling 3-2 (2/17) and 4-1 (2/18). RW Jon DiSalvatore led the Aeros in points last week, scoring all three goals for the team. D Chay Genoway contributed two assists. G Matt Hackett saved 15 shots for a .833 SV% (2/17), and G Darcy Kuemper saved 21 of 23 shots on relief for a .913 SV% (2/18). This week, the Aeros continue their streak of 11 straight road games, playing twice at Texas (2/24, 2/25).

Future Wild Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues   

LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL):
The 2010 second round pick notched a pair of goals on Saturday to bring his total to 24. He's also added 21 assists for 45 points in 41 games. He's a +2 on the year.

D Josh Caron - Everett (WHL):
The 2010 free agent signing has put up five assists in 30 games with Everett. He also put up six assists in 20 games with Kamloops prior to being traded.

C Charlie Coyle - Saint John (QMJHL):
San Jose's first round pick in 2010 (28th overall) registered a three-point night (1-2=3) on Wednesday, and is averaging better than a point per game with 10 goals and eight assists in 13 contests. He's a +9 while playing on a line with fellow Wild prospect Zack Phillips.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): The seventh round pick (191st overall) in the 2011 Draft has put up 19 points (5-14=19) through 39 games and is a +5 on the season.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL):
The 2010 free agent owns 26 points in 59 games. He's scored 10 goals, including a team-leading eight on the power play, and has notched 16 assists.

C Zack Phillips - Saint John (QMJHL):
The 2011 first rounder now ranks tied for sixth in the league in scoring with 73 points (28-45=73) through 51 games. He leads the League with a +42 rating.
   
College/USHL

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has put up 15 points (5-10=15) over the last15  games to boost his point total to 24 (7-17=24) in 40 games.

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA):
The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 put up two goals and an assist on Saturday and has accumulated 14 goals and 21 assists in 33 games to rank second on the team in scoring with 35 points. He's posted10  multi-point games and is a +15 on the season.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA):
Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 owns 13 points (3-10=13) in 33 games and leads the team with 38 blocked shots.

LW Mario Lucia - Penticton (BCHL):
Second round pick (60th overall) in 2011 Draft has piled up 80 points (36-44=80) in just 47 games to rank fifth in the league in scoring. Penticton has now won a league record 34 games in a row.

D Nick Seeler - Des Moines (USHL):
Fifth round pick (131st overall) in 2011 was traded to Des Moines after posting two goals and 13 assists in 32 games with Muskegon. In eight games with Des Moines, he's posted a goal and three assists.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA):
Second round pick (59th overall) in 2010 Draft scored two goals and added an assist over the weekend and has now put up 37 points (17-20=37) in 27 games and is a +2 on the season. He ranks second on the team and tied for 14th in the nation in scoring.

International

D Jonas Brodin - Farjestads BK Karlstad (Sweden):
The first round selection (10th overall) in the 2011 Draft put up an assist in consecutive games and now has seven helpers in 43 games. He ranks fifth on the team with a +7 rating.

F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 has racked up 50 points (20-30=50) in 44 games. He ranks second in the league in scoring and tied for third in goals and assists. He also owns a +20 rating.

D Bjorn Krupp - Cologne (Germany):
The 2009 free agent signing has notched seven assists through 42 games.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden):
The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft has put up 34 points (10-24=34) in 43 games. He ranks third on the team in scoring and second in assists.

Goaltenders

Dennis Endras - HIFK (Finland):
The 2010 free agent signing is now 13-7-3 since going to Finland and ranks seventh in the League in both goals against average (2.13) and save percentage (.928).

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (Sweden):
The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft ranks tied for fourth in the league with a 1.87 goals against average and seventh with a .925 save percentage.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): 
The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2011 is 7-7-8 as a true freshman with Harvard with a 3.13 goals against average and a .894 save percentage.
