Wild Prospects Report - Mar. 7

Houston Aeros (27-18-12, 66 points, 4th place in the West Division)
- The Houston Aeros went 1-1-0 last week, losing 2-1 at San Antonio (3/3) and winning 7-6 in a shootout at Abbotsford (3/6). RW Jon DiSalvatore scored five points on the week, including a goal and three assists at Abbotsford for his first four-point game of the season. He scored the lone goal at San Antonio to become the Aeros AHL club leader in career goals (69). C Chad Rau scored twice and added one assist at Abbotsford for his second consecutive three-point game with the Aeros. G Darcy Kuemper made 29 saves in the loss at San Antonio. G Matt Keetley saved 13 shots in relief for G Joe Fallon at Abbotsford, both playing their first games with Houston this season. Tonight the Aeros play their 11th consecutive road game before returning home to host Grand Rapids (3/10, 3/11).

Future Wild Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues   

LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL):
The 2010 second round pick has racked up three goals and three assists in the past two games. He's totaled 14 points (10-4=14) over the last seven games and now ranks second on the team in scoring with 57 points (32-25=57)  in 47 games. He's a +12 on the season and has registered 16 multi-point games.

D Josh Caron - Everett (WHL):
The 2010 free agent signing has put up five assists in 36 games with Everett. He also put up six assists in 20 games with Kamloops prior to being traded. His 148 penalty minutes rank seventh in the league.

C Charlie Coyle - Saint John (QMJHL):
San Jose's first round pick in 2010 (28th overall) notched four assists and was a +3 on Friday night. He now owns 12 goals and 17 assists in 18 games with Saint John and is a +19.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): The seventh round pick (191st overall) in the 2011 Draft has totaled 22 points (7-15=22) in 44 games and is a +6 on the year.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL):
The 2010 free agent owns 28 points (10-18=28) in 65 games. He ranks second on the team with eight power play goals and is a +5 on the season. 

C Zack Phillips - Saint John (QMJHL):
The 2011 first rounder (28th overall) has amassed 29 goals and 48 assists for 77 points in 56 games. He ranks tied for third in the league with a +45 rating. He ranks eighth in the league in assists and 12th in scoring.
   
College/USHL

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has put up 20 points (8-12=20) over the past 20 games and has boosted his point total to 29 (10-19=29) in 45 games.

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA):
The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 scored a goal on Saturday in helping Minnesota clinch the MacNaughton Cup for the best record in the WCHA. He has now put up 38 points (15-23=38) in 39 games to rank second on the team in scoring. Minnesota will open up the first round of the WCHA playoffs this weekend against Alaska Anchorage.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA):
Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 owns 13 points (3-10=13) in 37 games as the Irish advanced past the first round of the playoffs. Notre Dame will visit Michigan this weekend in the CCHA quarterfinals.

LW Mario Lucia - Penticton (BCHL):
Second round pick (60th overall) in 2011 Draft has piled up 91 points (39-52=91) in just 54 games as Penticton has rattled off 41 wins in a row. Lucia ranks third in the league in both goals and points.

D Nick Seeler - Des Moines (USHL):
Fifth round pick (131st overall) in 2011 owns two goals and seven assists in 13 games with Des Moines. He began the season with Muskegon where he played 32 games and posted 15 points. He was named the League's Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending February 27.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA):
Second round pick (59th overall) in 2010 Draft put up a goal and two assists over the weekend to eclipse the 40-point mark for the second straight season. He's posted 20 goals and 22 assists in 31 games and is a +5. Denver will host Wisconsin in the first round of the WCHA playoffs this weekend.

International

D Jonas Brodin - Farjestads BK Karlstad (Sweden):
The first round selection (10th overall) in the 2011 Draft has notched eight assists in 49 games and ranks sixth on the team with a +6 rating.

F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 has racked up 51 points (20-31=51) in 45 games. He ranks tied for fourth in the league in scoring and owns a +20 rating.

D Bjorn Krupp - Cologne (Germany):
The 2009 free agent signing has notched eight assists through 48 games.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden):
The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft has put up 36 points (12-24=36) in 49 games. He ranks third on the team in scoring and in assists.

Goaltenders

Dennis Endras - HIFK (Finland):
The 2010 free agent signing is now 19-9-3 since going to Finland and ranks sixth in the league with a 2.14 goals against average and fifth with a .929 save percentage.

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (Sweden):
The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft ranks second in the league with a 1.68 goals against average and fifth with a .928 save percentage.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): 
The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2011 is 7-7-8 as a true freshman with Harvard with a 3.13 goals against average and a .894 save percentage. Harvard will host Yale in the first round of the ECAC playoffs this weekend.
