APRIL 19: OKC 5, HOU 0
Matt Hackett made 33 saves for the Houston Aeros in a 5-0 loss to the Oklahoma City Barons in Game 1 of the AHL's Western Conference Calder Cup playoffs Thursday at Toyota Center.
Houston trails the best-of-five series 1-0.
Tyler Pitlick scored at 13:25 in the first period to give Oklahoma City a 1-0 lead.
Yann Danis stopped 14 shots for the Barons. Mark Arcobello and Ryan Keller each notched two assists for OKC, and Hunter Tremblay had a goal and an assist.
Teemu Hartikainen scored a power play goal at 14:32 in the second period to make it 2-0 before Tremblay upped the lead to 3-0 with a goal at 15:53 in the second.
Tanner House extended the lead to 4-0 Barons 50 seconds later, and Anton Lander scored at 15:59 in the third to make it 5-0.
Houston will face the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:35 p.m. Friday at Toyota Center in Game 2 of the best-of-five first round AHL Western Conference series.
