Wild Prospects Report - Sept. 26
Minnesota’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Houston Aeros, will open training camp at Xcel Energy Center Friday, Sept. 28. Fans will have a chance to see Wild prospects in action when the Aeros hold two scrimmages on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. – both scrimmages are free and open to the public, with Gate 1 opening 30 minutes before the start of the scrimmages. Canadian Hockey Leagues
LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau (QMJHL): The Wild’s second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has registered an assist and 4 PIM in two games to start the season with Baie-Comeau.
D Matt Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota’s first-round selection in this summer’s Draft received a major penalty and was suspended for two games for a check to the head of an opponent against Calgary on Sept. 21.
C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): Has started his fourth season in Ottawa, skating in two games.
D John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): The Wild’s third-round selection in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft is set to start his collegiate hockey career when Michigan State hosts an exhibition game against Windsor on Oct. 8. The Spartans open the regular season in Minnesota against the Gophers on Oct. 12.
RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round pick in June’s Draft has totaled one assist in four preseason games with the Lumberjacks, who start the regular season against Team USA on Sept. 29.
RW Anthony Hamburg - RIT (AHA): Begins his first year with Rochester Institute of Technology after playing seven games with Colgate University in 2010-11. The Tigers host Ottawa in an exhibition to start the season on Oct. 8.
LW Erik Haula - University of Minnesota (WCHA): Starts his junior season with the Gophers, ranked No. 1 in the country. Minnesota opens play when it hosts Lethbridge on Oct. 6.
LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Suffered a broken leg before the start of his first season with the Irish and is out indefinitely.
LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Has notched an assist in four games to start his first season with the Vees, ranked the No. 1 team in the BCHL’s first rankings of the 2012-13 season.
D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (WCHA): The Wild’s fifth-round selection from the 2011 NHL Entry Draft is set to start his freshman season with the Mavericks with an exhibition against Lethbridge on Oct. 8.
RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round pick in the 2012 Draft has been held scoreless in five games with Bern of the Swiss National League A.
D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Tallied an assist and a plus-1 rating in three games with Lulea during the week.
Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Leads the Swedish Elite League in goal-against average and ranks second in save percentage, having stopped 65-of-69 shots through three games to start the season.
Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Set to begin his sophomore season after being named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team during his first campaign. Harvard opens the season with an exhibition against McGill on Oct. 19.
