Wild Prospects Report - Oct. 31

Houston Aeros Record: 4-2-1-0 (9 points), second in the South Division

The Houston Aeros stretched their point streak to five games (4-0-1) after recording two victories last weekend. The Wild’s AHL affiliate traveled to Oklahoma City and earned a 6-4 victory against the Barons Friday evening. Winger Justin Fontaine led all players with three points (2-1=3) on the night, and goalie Darcy Kuemper stopped 14-of-15 shots in relief of Matt Hackett. The Aeros returned to Houston Saturday and earned a 4-0 win against Milwaukee, backstopped by Kuemper’s 33-save shutout. Winger Charlie Coyle added to his team lead (5) with two goals on the night, while center Mikael Granlund and defenseman Steven Kampfer each tallied two assists.

This week, the Aeros travel to Oklahoma City to face the Barons at 7 p.m., both Friday and Saturday, then return to Houston to host Grand Rapids Sunday at 5:05 p.m.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau (QMJHL): The Wild’s second-round pick in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft netted four points (2-2=4) and a +3 rating in three games for Baie-Comeau last week. He now has 13 points (6-7=13) in 15 games this season.

D Matt Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): The Wild’s first-round pick in June’s Draft totaled a goal and assist in two games with Red Deer last week. Named to the WHL roster for both games of the CHL’s Subway Super Series vs. Russia. Leads the Rebels and is T-12th among all WHL defensemen with 11 points (3-8=11) this season.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa (OHL): Registered five points in three games last week after netting his second hat trick of the year and adding two assists in an 8-6 win vs. Kingston Friday. Leads all OHL players with 14 goals and ranks T-9th with 20 points this season. Named to the OHL roster for both games of the CHL’s Subway Super Series vs. Russia Nov. 5-15.


D John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): The Wild’s third-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft totaled a goal, the first of his college career, and assist as Michigan State split the weekend series at Lake Superior. He leads all Spartan freshman in scoring with four points (1-3=4). Draeger is the featured prospect. Read more about him, here.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round pick in June’s Draft recorded a +2 rating during a split of two games last week. In 10 games, Gilmour has five points (2-3=5) and a plus-2 rating.

RW Anthony Hamburg - RIT (AHA): Totaled two points (1-1=2), his first points on the season, in two games for RIT last week.

LW Erik Haula - University of Minnesota (WCHA): Earned an even rating as Minnesota tied the U.S. National Under-18 Team in an exhibition before topping Canisius last weekend. The Gophers are ranked No. 2 in the country. Haula has four points (3-1=4) on the year.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Suffered a broken leg before the start of his first season with the Irish and is out indefinitely. Notre Dame is ranked No. 8 in the country.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Totaled two assists in one game with the Vees last week. Penticton remains the top-ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 13-2-0-2. Nanne has 13 points (4-9=13) in 11 games with the Vees.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (WCHA): Notched an assist and a plus-2 rating in two wins at Northern Michigan last weekend. Now has four points (1-3=4) in six games as a freshman.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Scored his first goal of the season and notched a plus-2 rating in two games with Bern last week.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Recorded an even rating in three games with Lulea last week. In 17 games, Gunnarsson has four points (2-2=4) and is plus-6.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Allowed two goals in a victory with Lulea last week. Ranks fourth in goals-against average (1.60 GAA) amongst Swedish Elite League goalies and seventh in save percentage (.931 SV%), having stopped 190-of-204 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Did not play in Harvard’s season-opening win vs. Bentley Saturday. Begins his sophomore season after being named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team during his first campaign. Harvard is ranked No. 13 in the country.
