Wild Wednesday - Jan. 16


NHL hockey is back and the Minnesota Wild is hosting a series of events leading up to the home opener on Saturday, Jan. 19, including a day-long “Wild Wednesday” Let’s Play Hockey Celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 16. "Wild Wednesday" begins with the regular season ticket on-sale, presented by Kwik Trip, and culminates with a free Red vs. White Intra-squad Game at Xcel Energy Center, presented by Andersen Windows.

The scrimmage will be televised live on FOX Sports North, beginning with a re-airing of “Becoming Wild Chapter II” Episode 1, presented by Toyota, at 6 p.m., followed by Wild Live at 6:30 p.m., the scrimmage at 7 p.m., and Wild Live at 9:30 p.m. “Becoming Wild,” Episode 1 will then re-air at 10 p.m., followed by Episode 2 at 10:30 p.m. Becoming Wild is presented by Toyota. Be sure to check out the "Becoming Wild" webpage to catch up on all the webisodes before the start of the season.

If you can't make the game, KFAN-FM 100.3 also will broadcast live from the scrimmage on Wednesday night with the full Wild broadcast team and many special guests. The broadcast will start on KFAN-FM 100.3 at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Jan, 16:

• Regular season ticket on-sale, presented by Kwik Trip, begins at 8 a.m. at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, and at noon on Wild.com, and all Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) locations or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.

• All Hockey Lodge locations (Xcel Energy Center, Burnsville Center, Maplewood Mall) will hold a 50 percent off sale all day Wednesday (excluding game-worn items and autographed collectibles; not to be combined with any other offer; limit one jersey per customer while supplies last). Additional details about the offer include: Sale is while supplies last and includes floor stock only; Strict limit of one jersey per person – NO Exceptions; Inventory of Player Name and Number Jerseys is limited to items on the floor only; No other discounts apply or are able to be combined with the 50% offer; All sales are FINAL–Size exchanges only; The Hockey Lodge Store hours for Wednesday - Maplewood Mall Open 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Burnsville Center Open 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Main Store at Xcel Energy Center 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (after 5 p.m. Wednesday, only guests holding a ticket to the Red vs White Intra-Squad Scrimmage will be able to access the store).

• Free Red vs. White Intra-squad Game, presented by Andersen Windows, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. A ticket is needed for entry – season ticketholders can print their tickets from their online account, while all other fans can print a ticket for free via Ticketmaster.com. All fans will receive a $10 concession voucher upon entry (not valid for alcoholic beverages). Autographed jerseys will be given away throughout the event.

• Launch of Version 2.0 of the Wild App for iPhone and the debut of the Wild App for Android.

Season Ticket Holder Benefits:

• The Wild and Ticketmaster are partnering to waive ticket print-at-home and forwarding fees from January 17-31 (this is only available to package holders through “My Wild Account”).

• Let’s Play Hockey retail specials in all Hockey Lodge locations. All skate-lace hoodies, 12 different styles, LPH special $39 (regularly $69) throughout January, while supplies last.

• Autographed jersey giveaway by seat locations on Opening Night.

The Wild home opener is Saturday, Jan. 19, versus the Colorado Avalanche at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Wild is encouraging fans to arrive in Saint Paul early and visit local bars and restaurants. All fans in attendance will find a Wild T-shirt on their seat upon arrival, courtesy of the Wild and FOX Sports North. Wild players will greet and thank season ticketholders during player introductions. Autographed jerseys will also be given away throughout the night. Saturday’s home opener culminates Hockey Day in Minnesota, presented by Wells Fargo.

Minnesota Wild single game ticket prices remain frozen at the 2010-11 level ($28-$100).
