Post-Game Notes vs. Dallas - Jan. 20

LW Zach Parise scored his first goal in a Wild uniform and G Josh Harding made 24 saves for his seventh career shutout, leading Minnesota past the Dallas Stars 1-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,296 at Xcel Energy Center. RW Dany Heatley and RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard added assists for Minnesota, which is 2-0-0 and plays host to Nashville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Wild is 2-0-0 for the first time since 2008-09, when it started 4-0-0.

Harding made eight saves in the first period, 11 in the second and five in the third for his seventh career shutout. Harding, who won a career-high 13 games last season, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis over the summer. Harding improved to a stellar 23-11-2 all-time at Xcel Energy Center, with a 2.06 GAA and a .928 SV%.

LW Zach Parise scored his first goal as a member of the Wild. He has three points (1-2=3) in his first two games. Parise has 13 points (6-7=13) in 10 career games against the Stars.

RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard, limited to 97 games in the last three seasons, had an assist and has a point in each of the two games (1-1=2). The Wild is 159-61-22 all-time when Bouchard has a point.

RW Dany Heatley recorded an assist and has three points (2-1=3) in the opening two games. Heatley led the Wild with 24 goals and 53 points last season. Heatley has a point in seven straight games (7-3=10) dating back to last season.

C Mikko Koivu skated in his 490th game, moving past Andrew Brunette for fourth place on the team’s all-time list.
