Haula Named Second-Team All-WCHA

University of Minnesota forward and Wild prospect, Erik Haula, was honored Thursday as he was selected to the WCHA All-Second Team.

It was Haula's first conference career conference honor. The Gophers' forward was selected in the seventh round (182nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild. The junior leads the Gophers' and is tied for fourth-nationally with 46 points (16-30=46).

Haula has a point in 27-of-33 games this season. Haula tallied four points (1-3=4) as the Gophers swept two games from Bemidji State to claim a share of the WCHA title. Minnesota will face Bemidji again this weekend in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs.

The Red Baron WCHA Final Five will be at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul from March 21-23.
