Wild Prospects Report - March 20

Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 31-22-4-4, 70 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, split a pair of games last week to remain in third place in the AHL's South Division.

The Aeros played in Houston for the first time in three weeks Thursday and earned a 4-1 victory against Abbotsford. D Brian Connelly led the Aeros with two power-play goals, while C Jake Dowell and C Zack Phillips also scored for Houston. G Darcy Kuemper stopped 33-of-34 shots in the victory, keeping the Heat off the board until the last 14 seconds of the game. The Aeros traveled to San Antonio Friday, falling to the Rampage, 4-2. Rampage forward Greg Rallo contributed to all four San Antonio goals (2-2=4), while RW Dan DaSilva and C Carson McMillan scored for Houston. Kuemper made 22 saves in the loss.

The Aeros will play 10 of their next 11 games on home ice, starting Thursday against Charlotte at 7:05 p.m. The Aeros wil travel to Oklahoma City for a meeting with the Barons Friday at 7 p.m., before returning to Houston to host Rochester Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

Wild Prospects Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau, (QMJHL): The Wild's second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft scored two goals in two games last week. In 60 games, he has 68 points (29-39=68) and is plus-27.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota's first-round pick in June's NHL Entry Draft skated in one game last week In 62 games, he has 42 points (16-26=42) and a plus-10 rating.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa/Belleville (OHL): Graovac tallied four assists in three games last week. In 60 games, has 73 points (38-35=73) and is plus-7.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Skated in two games last week. In 31 games, Jobke has 18 points (3-15=18).

COLLEGE/USHL


D John Draeger - MIchigan State (CCHA): Tallied an assist last week as Michigan State dropped its CCHA Quarterfinal series at Miami in three games.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in June's NHL Entry Draft notched an assist in two games last week.. Leads Muskegon in assists (24), points (42), and plus/minus (plus-18) rating.

LW Erik Haula - U. of Minnesota (WCHA): Haula totaled three assists in two games as the Gophers topped Bemidji State in the WCHA First Round. Minnesota will face either Colorado College or North Dakota Friday in the WCHA Final Five in Saint Paul.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Skated in Notre Dame's weekend victories vs. Bowling Green in the CCHA Quarterfinals. THe Irish will face Ohio State Saturday in the CCHA Semifinal in Detroit.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Totaled six points (1-5=6) in a four-game sweep of Salmon Arm in the BCHL Playoffs. The Vees won't play until the Interior Conference Final on March 29.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska-Omaha: Earned a plus-1 rating in three games as Nebraska-Omaha fell to Minnesota State in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs.

INTERNATIONAL

RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss):
Has one goal in eight playoff games with Bern. For the season Bertschy has played in 41 games with four goals and two assists for a plus-1 rating.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Lulea will face Frolunda in the Tournament Elitserien Playoffs. Gunnarsson has a plus-11 rating in 53 games played this season.

GOALTENDER

Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL):
Lulea will face Frolunda in the Tournament Elitserien Playoffs. Gustafsson finished the regular season ranked fourth amongst all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average and fifth in save percentage, having stopped 787-of-847 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not play last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
