Minnesota outshot Calgary, 35-24, but the Flames claimed a 4-1 victory Sunday night at Xcel Energy Center. Flames LW Mike Cammalleri and D Mark Cundari each netted a goal and an assist for Calgary and the Flames added an empty-net marker, while G Joey MacDonald made 34 saves in the win. LW Zach Parise scored for Minnesota, while G Niklas Backstrom made 20saves in the loss. The Wild continues its three-game homestand Tuesday when it hosts Los Angeles at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
Minnesota moved to 13-7-2 at Xcel Energy Center this season. Tonight’s attendance of 19,039 was the Wild’s 18th straight sellout at Xcel Energy Center and 20th of the season.

C Mikko Koivu matched his season high with six shots on goal (3/25 at DAL).
The Wild moved to 11-4-2 against Northwest Division opponents this season, seeing a franchise-record eight-game win streak against divisional opponents halted.
D Ryan Suter recorded six shots, a +1 rating and skated 30:46 TOI – his eighth game of more than 30 minutes this season. The Wild moved to 13-1-1 when he posts a +1 or better this season.
LW Zach Parise recorded nine shots and increased his team lead with his 17th goal of the season and 36th point. He has 14 points (6-8=14) in his last 18 games and 21 points (9-12=21) in his last 23 contests. Minnesota moved to 8-2-2 when Parise scores a goal this season.
G Niklas Backstrom stopped 20-of-23 shots, recording his first regulation loss in a game after being pulled since March 26, 2008. Backstrom had been 17-0-2 in the game after being pulled during that span, posting a 1.60 GAA and a .943 SV%. Both of the overtime and shootout losses also came against Calgary. He remains T-2nd in the NHL with 22 victories this season.
C Mikko Koivu netted his 25th assist of the season. He ranks second on the Wild with 35 points in 45 games this season.
RW Charlie Coyle tallied an assist on Parise’s goal and now has 11 points (7-4=11) in 34 games this season, including five points (4-1=5) in his last 12 games.
