Wild Road Tour Blog: Day Three
Nate Prosser shares his thoughts on the final day of the Road Tour
Day Three of the Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour started in Brainerd with a stop at the local radio stations. After interviews about the team, Josh and I picked out a country playlist for their afternoon program. It was a hot day up north so I enjoyed a strawberry smoothie on the way to the local ice rink. Luckily, the event was able to be held indoors so everyone could enjoy the meet and greet instead of cooking in the hot sun. The fans in Brainerd were great but the highlight had to be our No. 1 fan answering the call in bringing us the sought after movie, Major League. For his efforts in bringing us the movie and for reading my Wild.com blog, we awarded him with a team autographed stick!
We thoroughly enjoyed Major League as we drove to my hometown, Elk River. I was very proud of the turnout that my hometown showed as the ice rink was full of Wild fans. It was extra special to sign autographs and take photos with young hockey players that are playing in the same league that I played in. Of course, Elk River has a special role as the host of the upcoming Wells Fargo Hockey Day Minnesota in 2014. We were even able to present the city with a specially made Wild jersey!
It's been a busy but fun three days across the State of Hockey. Thanks to Wells Fargo, Fox Sports North, our Total Luxury Limousine bus driver, Dan and most importantly all of the fans that took the time to meet me and Josh. We really enjoyed meeting you!
