Wild Prospects Report - Nov. 20

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League Affiliate, began a six-game homestand last week. The Wild lost 3-1 versus the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday as LW Erik Haula was the team’s lone scorer and G Darcy Kuemper made 20 saves. Iowa suffered a 5-2 loss on Friday to the San Antonio Rampage. D Jonathan Blum led the team with a goal and an assist while C Zack Phillips also scored and Kuemper stopped 26 shots on net. The Wild were shutout, 1-0, Saturday by the Milwaukee Admirals as Kuemper made 32 saves in the loss. D Brian Connelly (0-11=11) leads the Wild this season with 11 points and Haula (4-6=10) follows with 10 points. Kuemper is 3-7-0 with a 2.97 GAA and a .908 SV% in 10 games. G Johan Gustafsson is 3-1-0 with a 2.45 GAA and a .920 SV%. Iowa continues its homestand on Friday against Grand Rapids and then plays back-to-back games Saturday and Sunday versus Abbotsford.


RW Kurtis Gabriel - Owen Sound (OHL): Gabriel tallied three points (1-2=3) in three games this past week…ranks second on Owen Sound in assists, 2nd in PIM, T-2nd in scoring…named an assistant captain (10/15)…Wild’s third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): Leads team defensemen and ranks fourth on the team in scoring (2-10=12)…Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.


D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): Tallied an assist and four penalty minutes in Michigan’s weekend split at Nebraska Omaha…Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an abdominal injury.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): Fired five shots on net in Boston College’s home-and-home series against Massachusetts (1-0-1)…ranks T-6th on the team in points…Wild’s fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): Recorded two points (1-1=2) as the Irish won and tied Merrimack in back-to-back home games this past weekend…ranks T-3rd on Notre Dame in points and T-2nd in power-play scoring (3-1=4)…Wild’s second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Louis Nanne - Sioux Falls (USHL): Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined following shoulder surgery this summer and is expected to be out until mid-December.

D Gustav Olofsson - Colorado College (NCHC): Netted his first collegiate goal in the Tigers’ 3-1 loss to the Air Force last night…missed four games with a shoulder injury (10/25-11/2)…Wild’s second-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

C Avery Peterson - Grand Rapids (High School): Returned home to play his senior season at Grand Rapids High School…Grand Rapids begins play Nov. 26 …Collected eight points (3-5=8) including 2 PPG and a +3 rating in 11 games with Sioux City (USHL)…Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): Tallied two assists in the Mavericks weekend split vs. Michigan…T-3rd on the Mavericks in penalty minutes this season…Wild’s fifth-round selection in 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Recorded two penalty minutes as Minnesota Duluth split two games at North Dakota this past weekend…ranks fourth on the team in assists and second among defensemen in points…Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft.


C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Recorded two assists in SC Bern’s three games last week…ranks T-4th on Bern in goals…Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (Sweden): Tallied two assists in two games last week as Lulea went 0-1-1…ranks T-5th on the team in assists and leads all defensemen in scoring…Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.


Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): Ranks T-5th in QMJHL in wins…went 1-1-0 in two games last week…named QMJHL third star of the week on Oct. 28 after going 3-0-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 SV%…Wild’s seventh-round selection in this summer’s 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Steven Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Won his first start of the season, making 32-of-35 saves at Princeton (11/16) as Harvard snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory…Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
