An updated look at the Wild\'s Prospects and how they\'re developing

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League Affiliate, ended a six-game homestand with three games over the weekend. The Wild lost 2-1 versus the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday as Forward Brett Bulmer scored and G Johan Gustafsson stopped 20 shots. Iowa suffered a 4-0 loss to the Abbotsford Heat on Saturday as Gustafsson made 26 saves. The Wild dropped a 2-1 decision to Abbotsford on Sunday. G John Curry made 17 saves in his debut and Bulmer scored the team’s lone goal. D Brian Connelly (0-11=11) leads the team this season with 11 points as F Erik Haula (4-6=10) is second with 10 points and Bulmer leads the Wild with six goals (6-1=7). Gustafsson is 3-3-0 with a 2.62 GAA and a .910 SV% in seven games. Curry is 0-1-0 with a 2.04 GAA and a .895 SV% in one start. Iowa plays at Chicago Wednesday in its sole game this week.

RW Kurtis Gabriel - Owen Sound (OHL): Gabriel tallied an assist in the Attack’s sole game this past week as Owen Sound edged out Belleville, 4-3 (11/23)...ranks T-2nd on Owen Sound in PIM and scoring and ranks T-3rd in assists...named an assistant captain (10/15)...Wild’s third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): Leads Shawinigan defensemen and ranks third on the team in scoring and ranks third in assists...Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

COLLEGE/USHL

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): Recorded two shots on goal as Michigan shutout Niagara, 6-0, in its only game last week (11/22)...Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Returned to action this past week, recording two shots on goal and four penalty minutes in two games as Michigan State dropped its home-and- home series against Western Michigan...Missed nine games due to an abdominal injury (10/9-11/9)...Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): Recorded his first penalty minutes of the season as Boston College went 1-1-0 in two games last week...ranks T-7th on the Eagles in points...Wild’s fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): Ranks T-4th on Notre Dame in points and T-6th in power-play scoring (3-1=4)...Wild’s second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Louis Nanne - Sioux Falls (USHL): Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined following shoulder surgery this summer and is expected to be out until mid-December.

D Gustav Olofsson - Colorado College (NCHC): Tallied two points (1-1=2) in two games last week...since returning from injury, Olosfsson has recorded three points (2-1=3) in five games, including a three-game point streak (11/19-11/23)...missed four games with a shoulder injury (10/25-11/2)...Wild’s second-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

C Avery Peterson - Grand Rapids (High School):Started in the Thunderhawks first game of the season, netting a goal in Grand Rapids 4-3 OT win vs. Bemidji (11/26)...he extends his point streak to 25 games...Collected eight points (3-5=8) including 2 PPG and a +3 rating in 11 games with Sioux City (USHL)...Minnesota’s sixth- round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): Added two penalty minutes in two games last week as Nebraska Omaha finished a six-game homestand going 4-2-0 in those games...T- 3rd on the Mavericks in penalty minutes this season...Wild’s fifth-round selection in 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Recorded two penalty minutes in one game as the Bulldogs split the weekend at Minnesota...ranks T-5th on the team in assists and second among defensemen in points...Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

EUROPE

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Ranks T-5th on Bern in goals...Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (Sweden): Recorded two points (1-1=2) and two penalty minutes in four games, including his first goal of the season...ranks T-4th on the team in assists, leads all defensemen and ranks sixth on Lulea in scoring...Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

GOALTENDERS

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): Won both his starts this past week...earned his first shutout of the season as the Huskies blanked Sherbrooke, 3-0 (11/16)...ranks T-4th in QMJHL in wins and 14th in GAA...named QMJHL third star of the week on Oct. 28 after going 3-0-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 SV%...Wild’s seventh- round selection in this summer’s 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Steven Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Started his fifth game of the season, stopping 29-of-34 shots as Harvard suffered a 5-1 loss vs. Boston College (11/20)...Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
