Dumba Invited To Canada\'s Junior Selection Camp

Minnesota Wild rookie Matt Dumba has been invited to Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship. He is one 25 players invited to the camp. The camp starts on Dec. 12 at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence in Etobicoke, Ont.

The roster includes two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards. Canada’s final roster for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship in Malmö, Sweden, will include 22 players, and must be finalized by Dec. 25.

Dumba has been invited to Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp for the last two seasons, and was the final cut both years.

The defenseman said hopefully the third time is the charm for him and this time around he isn't going to worry about any external factors in an effort to focus on his game. Regardless, Dumba said he's excited for the opportunity.

If the blueliner makes the team, the World Juniors will be played at Malmö Arena and Malmö Isstadion from December 26 to January 5.
