Wild\'s Best Of The Web - Dec. 4
It’s not always easy staying tuned in to all things Wild online. Whether it’s a story or a funny Tweet, we’ve got you covered with the best links from around the web

It’s not always easy staying tuned in to all things Wild online. Whether it’s a story or a funny Tweet, we’ve got you covered with the best links from around the web

STATING THE OBVIOUS

Monday night goaltender Josh Harding earned his third shutout of the season. But Flyers forward Jakub Voracek came very close to spoiling the fun for the Harding and the Wild. No worries folks, Harding did this.

The diving save — which the goalie described as a move of desperation with no skill — prompted this tweet for hockey aficionado and ESPN Sports Center anchor John Buccigross.

Harding was named the NHL’s Third Star for the month of November Tuesday, but after that save, we’ll see what December has in store for him.

JUST A LITTLE CHIRP

The Wild and the Blackhawks will faceoff Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center and while the reigning Cup Champs are currently one of the hottest teams in the league, that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with the rivalry.

Tuesday, @mnwild tweeted this. It was simple and helped stoke the flames headed into Thursday night.

THE CAPTAIN GIVES BACK

Last week Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and Mikko Koivu celebrated the opening of the neuroscience inpatient unit at the hospital, where Koivu donated two rooms.

There are plenty of tweets about the event, but here are some of our favorites, including a shot of the Captain speaking, one of Koivu in one of the rooms he donated, and — maybe the best one yet — a picture of Koivu with a patient.

AND THE WINNER IS?

MOvember has sadly come to an end. While some have kept some scruff, the straight ‘stache is a thing of the past.

So who did Wild.com rank as the best Wild soup strainer of the year? Find out that and more in the final installment of the Wild Mo Bros Power Rankings.

ADD IT TO HIS RESUME

Last week it was announced that Ryan Suter will be joining the ownership group of the USHL’s newest team, the Madison Capitols. See what Suter had to say on the partnership here.

Suter is a Madison native and lives there in the off-season. He also spends time working with local hockey camps and groups in the Madison area, and is excited to see a USHL team in the Badger city. You can check out full details on the team here.

THEY GROW UP SO FAST

A few weeks ago WildTV was able to catch up with Wild prospect Gustav Olofsson as he made his way to the State of Hockey for a NCHC showdown.

Olofsson is currently a freshman at Colorado College and was in St. Cloud as the Huskies hosted the Tigers. Check out what he had to say here.
