Wild Signs Curry To Two-Way Deal
The Minnesota Wild has signed goalie John Curry to a two-way National Hockey League (NHL) contract.
The 29-year-old has posted a 6-3-2 record, 1.95 GAA and .939 SV% in 12 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound netminder has also posted a 10-2-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 SV% in 13 games with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL this season, his seventh year of professional hockey. The native of Shorewood, Minn., previously played four games with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2008-10 after being named one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award while at Boston University in 2006-07.
