Wild 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule Released
The Minnesota Wild\'s 2014-15 regular season kicks off with at home on Thursday, Oct. 9 against the Colorado Avalanche

Let’s do it again.

The Minnesota Wild’s 2014-15 regular season schedule has been released and it starts off with a bang. After a thrilling seven-game First Round series against the Colorado Avalanche in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Wild opens its season with a home-and-home series against the Avs, with the Home Opener at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Xcel Energy Center.

The series will mark the first two of five regular season games against the Avs. The Wild will play a total of 29 games against the Central Division this season, with at least four games against each team: five each against Colorado (three home, two road), Chicago (two home, three road), Dallas (two home, three road), Nashville (two home, three road) and Winnipeg (three home, two road), and four against St. Louis (two home, two road).

Outside of the Central, a few home games fans may want to circle on their calendar include Nov. 26 and March 28 when the Wild will host the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. The Pittsburgh Penguins will make an early stop in Saint Paul on Nov. 4, while Montreal and Anaheim make back-to-back stops Dec. 3 and 5.

This season, the NHL All-Star Game makes its return on Jan. 25 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The week-long break takes place during the Wild’s longest road trip of the season — a four-game affair starting in Detroit, followed by a trip across the boarder to Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

Unlike in years past, the Wild will be on the road the Friday following Thanksgiving, at Dallas on Nov. 28, and will also spend New Year’s Eve away from the State of Hockey as it travels to Columbus on Dec. 31.

The Wild’s local broadcast TV schedule will be announced at a later date. KFAN 100.3 FM is the Wild’s official radio home. Any preempted games will be earned on KOOL 108 (107.9 FM).
