Road Tour Day 3: Q & A With Cooke
How did you like your first season in Minnesota?
It was a huge success not only personally but from a team standpoint. It was a great building block for the future and I can't wait to start the next season.
What did you enjoy most about playing for the Wild?
Our team. We have a great group of guys who are all buying in to what we are doing. I'm impressed with the growth of the team this past season and impressed and overwhelmed by the amount of support we get from our fans.
What has your first Road Tour experience been like?
This first experience has been great. I've been able to have my son with me and gotten to spend a lot of time with him. The support and turnout has been great and the amount of support you get to see not just in the Twin Cities but throughout the entire state is overwhelming.
Have you ever been to these parts of the State of Hockey and what are your impressions?
The furthest west I've been is Minnetonka so it's been awesome to see all the beautiful cities and towns throughout the state. You really get to see the great character in all the people and how passionate about hockey they are.
Aside from the Tour stops, did you get to do anything interesting or fun?
We have golfed everyday, sometimes twice a day. I also got to go fishing with my son and take him to a waterpark as well.
How has it been traveling with Wes Walz and Mike Greenlay?
Being with Wes and Mike has been great. I played against Walz and see Greenlay quite often. I've know them on a professional level so it is nice to get to know them personally. It's been great to share stories with both of them and see how they are both highly respected in the community.
