Wild Agrees To Terms With Curry
Minnesota has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way deal with goaltender John Curry


The Minnesota Wild has agreed to terms with goaltender John Curry to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 30-year-old was 7-9-2 with a 2.62 goals-against average (GAA), a .930 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout in 19 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) last season.

He signed a contract with Minnesota on Feb. 17, 2014 and appeared in two NHL games with the Wild and went 1-0-0 with a 3.00 GAA, and a .930 SV%. Curry made 43 saves in a 4-2 win vs. STL (4/10), to claim his first NHL win since Nov. 11, 2008. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound netminder also posted a 10-2-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 SV% in 13 games with the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL). He is 3-2-0 with a 3.55 GAA and a .893 SV% in six career NHL games. The native of Shorewood, Minn., played in four NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2008-10. Curry went 59-29-15 with a 2.07 GAA, a .923 SV% and 13 shutouts in 107 games during four seasons at Boston University from 2004-07.
