Kirk Olson is in his fifth year as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Minnesota Wild. He is responsible for developing, implementing and executing all aspects of strength and conditioning throughout the Wild organization.
Olson, 36 (7/31/71), has been coaching and training athletes for the past 13 years. Before coming to the Wild, Olson was training athletes in a private capacity, focusing primarily on the development of hockey players. He spent three seasons with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings’ Strength and Conditioning Staff before entering the private sector to practice his trade. During his time with the Vikings, Olson also served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe. In addition to his coaching endeavors, he has served as a consultant to several high school, college and university athletic programs.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota and St. Cloud State University, Olson currently resides in Blaine, Minnesota.
