WCCO® Radio (830 AM) enters its 10th year as the official flagship station of the Minnesota Wild. All Minnesota Wild hockey games, including all preseason games, regular season contests and Stanley Cup playoff games will be broadcast by WCCO® Radio as part of an exclusive radio agreement. Any preempted contests will be heard on both BOB 106 FM and “La Mera Buena” KBGY 107.5 FM.

Veteran play-by-play man Bob Kurtz and former NHL defenseman Tom Reid make up WCCO’s broadcast team. In addition to their work together with the Wild, the duo was paired together for nine seasons as the television voices of the Minnesota North Stars beginning in 1980.
The Twin Cities leader in live broadcasting, WCCO® Radio is also home to University of Minnesota sports.

Also as part of the agreement, WCCO® Radio is a major community relations, marketing and promotional partner with the Minnesota Wild. The station’s Web site, wccoradio.com, is also linked to the official Web site of the Minnesota Wild, wild.com.

WCCO® Radio is a 50,000-watt station that covers 88 counties, including 13 in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and 75 non-metro counties in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota. Owned by Viacom, Infinity Media Corporation and CBS, the station can be picked up in more than 28 states and three Canadian provinces during the evening hours. It has been Minnesota’s most listened to radio station based on total cumulative audience since 1924.

Minnesota’s total country station BOB 106 is proud to join with their sister station “La Mera Buena” KBGY 107.5 FM to carry any preempted Wild games during the 2009-10 season. BOB FM plays the best country music from the last 50 years and features legendary Twin Cities morning show host Chuck Knapp along with his longtime partner Jon Engen on the BOB Wake up Happy morning show.

“La Mera Buena” KBGY 107.5 FM will air any preempted Minnesota Wild hockey games along with BOB FM.  Hispanics in the Twin Cities, Southern Minnesota and parts of Iowa and Wisconsin are tuning in to “La Mera Buena” 107.5, Minnesota’s first 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year Spanish language 49,000 watt, FM radio station. With news, weather, traffic, special programming and more, as well an extensive song playlist featuring the biggest stars in Latin music, “La Mera Buena” has become the radio station of choice for area Hispanics.
