Last season, fans voted Jason Pominville the Bryant "Who's Hot?" Player of the Year, knocking off the previous season's winner Niklas Backstrom. Pominville was a consistent presence in his first full season with the Wild. The wing led the team in goals (30) and points (60), and was one of three players to skate in all 82 games.
Last week, forward Zach Parise pulled even with Devan Dubnyk Thomas Vanek on the leader board. All three players have three "Who's Hot?" awards heading into the final vote. Parise scored twice, was a plus-2 and had eight shots on goal.
Those three will stay tied for the overall lead because we three new candidates. Up first, Jason Pominville scored the game winner in Nashville, added an assist and racked up 14 shots on goal. Next, Marco Scandella scored on a beautiful spin-o-rama in Nashivlle and followed that up with a goal against St. Louis in back-to-back games. Finally, Jason Zucker returned to action in a big way, scoring three times and firing eight shots on goal.
