Last season, fans voted Jason Pominville the Bryant "Who's Hot?" Player of the Year, knocking off the previous season's winner Niklas Backstrom. Pominville was a consistent presence in his first full season with the Wild. The wing led the team in goals (30) and points (60), and was one of three players to skate in all 82 games.
Last week, Thomas Vanek took over the overall “Who’s Hot?” lead on his second straight win. The Austrian had a goal and two assist during the week.
This week, Vanek has a chance to extend his lead and win for the third consecutive time, but he’ll have some stiff competition. Vanek had two goals, an assist and was a plus-2. Up next, Devan Dubnyk was stellar, winning all four games he started (4-0-0), posting a 1.23 goals-against average and a .962 save percentage, and was named the NHL's First Star of the Week. Finally, Wild captain Mikko Koivu gets a nomination. The center led all Minnesota scorers with three goals, two assists and was a plus-4.
