High school hockey coaches are part of the Boys and Girls High School Coaches Association. The Minnesota Wild supports the Minnesota High School Coaches Association with the 3M Excellence in Coaching Award given to high school hockey coaches from each section in each class (A and AA) in the state. Every March, the Wild hosts the MSHSL Boys and Girls Hockey Tournaments at Xcel Energy Center.  Support is also provided for the tournament banquets each year as well as other opportunities throughout the year.
