Heater's House
During his tenure as a member of the Minnesota Wild, forward Dany Heatley (#15) has distinguished himself as a leader and a role model to coaches, teammates and the entire State of Hockey community. Heatley's play on the ice as well as his endless participation in local community events has truly revealed "Heater" as an example to be followed by the entire Minnesota pro sports community.
Throughout his career, Heatley has been actively involved in numerous charitable activities, but most impressive is the development of the Heater’s House program which brings local charities to the Xcel Energy Center to experience a Wild home game. Guests are able to feel the excitement of a professional hockey game as VIP guests in one of the best seats at the Xcel Energy Center watching the game in the official Heater’s House suite. Their event night includes dinner and beverages along with each person receiving free Heater’s House souvenir t-shirt and goodie bag. To cap off the night, Heatley personally meets each participant in the Heater’s House program, signing autographs and taking pictures.
To date, guests from Wishes and More, Defending the Blue Line, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Gillette Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, St. Jude’s and many more have become members of Heater’s House.
