| After Flames Head Coach Bob Hartley challenged his team for not being tough enough last week, the team has picked up its play. Calgary has climbed within one point of the Wild in the standings, as only three points separate seven teams for the eight spot in the Western Conference. Journeyman goaltender Joey MacDonald has helped keep the Flames in game. In five games since the injury to Calgary stalwart, Mikka Kiprusoff, MacDonald has goine 3-2-0 with a 2.85 goals against average and .901 save percentage. |
The Wild will recognize two high school hockey standouts. This year’s Ms. Hockey Award winner Dani Cameranesi, a senior forward on the Blake School girls’ hockey team, and the Let’s Play Hockey Senior Goalie of the Year Sydney Rossman of Minnetonka High School, will be in attendance at tonight’s game. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Mikko Koivu Player Card Magnet, the first in a set of four. Put Mikko on your fridge. The Wild will wear its RED home sweaters. |
