Minnesota Wild Announces Fan Celebration Night activities
Wild players to give "jerseys off their backs" in special postgame ceremony
The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced on March 31 that the team will honor fans for their continued support of the Wild as part of Fan Celebration Night on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. CDT when Minnesota hosts the Calgary Flames at Xcel Energy Center.
The following events and promotions will take place during Fan Celebration Night:
• Wild players will give the “jerseys off their backs” to lucky fans in a special postgame ceremony presented by AT&T
• All fans will receive a Wild scratch-and-win card upon entering the building with a chance to win the following:
Wild hats
Wild jerseys
Ticket to an April Swarm game
Hockey Lodge discounts
Free sodas
Team autographed sticks
Team autographed jerseys
Player autographed mini-helmets
Apple iPod Nanos
• All fans will receive a Team of 18,000 patch, the same patch players will be wearing on their jerseys
• Free face painting for kids 14-and-under.
• All Fans will receive a Minnesota Wild AT&T poster upon leaving the game
• The Toyota Three Star Award will be awarded to the Wild player who accumulated the most Three Stars of the Game points during the 2007-08 season. The Minnesota Wild and Toyota will donate $5,000 on behalf of the winning player to a charity of their choice during an on-ice postgame check presentation. Previous winners are Marian Gaborik (2006-07), Brian Rolston (2005-06), Dwayne Roloson (2002-03, 2003-04), Marian Gaborik (2001-02) and Manny Fernandez (2000-01)
• Other prizes from AT&T, Cub Foods, Jack Links and No Name will be given out to fans during the game.
