|The Dallas stars signed two 40-year-old free agents over the summer in Jagr and Whitney. Jagr, one of the most prolific offensive weapons in the history of the NHL, returned to the NHL after a three-year hiatus. Last season with the Philadelphia Flyers, he scored 54 points (19-35=54). Whitney, one of the most consistent and underrated players in the NHL, racked up 77 points (24-53=77) for the Coyotes.||If you're going, you might see an influx of young adults and men and women in uniform in the audience. Tonight is both College Night, presented by Wells Fargo and KDWB, and Military Night, presented by the Minnesota National Guard and KFAN.|
|The Wild's first power-play unit was hot, going 2-for-7 yesterday against the Avs. Heatley was in his familiar spot, stationed in front of the net, and scored both of the team's power-play tallies from low in the slot. Parise and Koivu assisted on the goals by creating space along the sidewall and moving to the net.

|With no pregame skate, the lineup isn't set. However, the Wild looked pretty good with these lines last night:
Parise – Koivu – Heatley
Cullen – Granlund – Setoguchi
Bouchard – Brodziak – Clutterbuck
Mitchell – Konopka – Powe
The blue line was solid yesterday and is likely to stay the same:
Suter – Spurgeon
Gilbert – Stoner
Falk – Prosser
Josh Harding will get the nod in net. Last season, G Josh Harding faired better against the Stars going 1-0-0, saving 23 of 25 shots for a .920 save percentage.
|It was real nice to get a win for our fans…They were instrumental in that game for us. We didn't give them much to cheer about early, but the second we did the place was rocking, We fed off it.
- Yeo on last night's home crowd
|Forward Matt Kassian will likely be out of the lineup for the second-straight game unless Yeo wants to add his toughness. 18-year-old Matt Dumba is not expected to make his NHL debut tonight.
No players are out of the lineup due to injury.
|D Alex Goligoski (Grand Rapids) and C Toby Peterson (Minneapolis) are Minnesota natives. LW Eric Nystrom spent the 2010-11 season with the Wild, tallying 12 points (4-8=12) in 82 games.||Last season, the Wild was 4-3-2 on the second night of back-to-back contests. It is the first of two times this season where the Wild plays on two straight days at Xcel Energy Center.|
|Wild vs. Stars will be broadcast locally in high definition on Fox Sports North with a start time at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on KFAN 100.3 FM or online at Wild.com.
