GAMEDAY: Wild vs. Winnipeg
Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild will roll out its top line and D-pair tonight when the club concludes a home-and-home series with the Winnipeg Jets at Xcel Energy Center. Johan Gustafsson will make is first appearance in a Wild sweater in backup of Niklas Backstrom, but yesterday Wild Head Coach Mike Yeo said he expects the veteran to play the full 60 minutes tonight:

The Wild took the first game of the series in Winnipeg on Thursday, 4-1.

Wild Lineup

This is the first time we'll see the Wild's top trio of Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville in game action. The third and fourth lines are yet to be determined and three forwards from the list will sit out tonight, but we should know the lineup later today.

Zach Parise - Mikko Koivu - Jason Pominville
Dany Heatley
- Charlie Coyle - Justin Fontaine
Erik Haula
- Mikael Granlund - Nino Niederreiter
Jake Dowell
- Zenon Konopka - Carson McMillan
David Steckel - Tyler Graovac - Zack Phillips

Ryan Suter - Jonas Brodin
Marco Scandella - Jared Spurgeon
Clayton Stoner - Keith Ballard

Niklas Backstrom
Johan Gustafsson

What to Watch

State of Hockey fans are well aware of what Suter and Brodin bring to the blue line, but this marks the first time we'll see Parise, Koivu and Pominville in a game since a brief stint last season after Pominville was acquired on Trade Deadline Day. The line has looked solid in practice and the team's intra-squad scrimmage, but tonight is the first real test to check for chemistry between the set.
