CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- Jarome Iginla's late goal kept the Calgary Flames rolling.

Iginla scored with 22.8 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Calgary Flames to a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.

Shean Donovan also scored for Calgary, which has earned points in nine straight games (6-0-1-2).

"So far in this stretch, there's been a lot of close games that we've been finding ways to win," said Iginla, who has four goals in the past three games.

Calgary took advantage of a line change by the Wild that left the left side of the ice open, and Oleg Saprykin moved into the Minnesota zone and unloaded a slap shot from the dot. Manny Fernandez stopped the shot, but Iginla was there to score on the rebound.

"I don't think it was a bad line change, guys were tired and they had to come off and one (defenseman) stayed on," Minnesota coach Jacques Lemaire said. "The mistake we made was we didn't rush the guy with the puck. We let him shoot on the net and they got the rebound. If we're more aggressive and we rush the shooter, there wouldn't have been a goal."

Pascal Dupuis scored for Minnesota, which lost for the first time in 47 games (42-1-4) when leading after two periods, a streak that dated to March 5, 2002.

Donovan scored his eight of the season and extended his goal-scoring streak to five games. That run matches Detroit's Brett Hull for the longest such streak in the league this season.

Miikka Kiprusoff made 22 saves for Calgary and improved to 5-1 in six starts. He has allowed just one goal in each of the five victories.

On Donovan's tying goal 1:43 into the third period, Calgary defenseman Andrew Ference carried the puck behind the Wild net before eventually centering it. Donovan outmuscled a defender and swept a backhand past falling Fernandez, whose shutout streak ended at 128:08.

Dupuis opened the scoring 1:54 in, and Minnesota held the lead for nearly 40 minutes, before Donovan scored the equalizer.

The Wild have just eight goals in past seven games, winning just once in that span (1-5-1).

"When you've only scored one goal in the last four or five games here, it's difficult to win games in this league," Minnesota center Wes Walz said.
