KSTC.TV, Channel 45, the Twin Cities only independent television station, begins its second season as the exclusive over-the-air broadcast partner of the Minnesota Wild.
Dan Terhaar serves as the play-by-play announcer, while Mike Greenlay provides the color analysis for all games on KSTC.TV, Channel 45.
FORTY5 delivers the best in local sports action to area viewers. Key franchise games include Big Ten basketball and football, Minnesota State High School League Championship Tournaments, National Basketball Association’s Minnesota Timberwolves, Saint Paul Saints baseball and the fast-paced action of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild.

As part of this long-term partnership, FSN North will telecast 45 regular-season Wild games during the 2006-2007 campaign. CALL OF THE WILD
The Minnesota Wild and Comcast will team together for the sixth consecutive season to produce “Call of the Wild”, a magazine-style show available exclusively to Twin Cities area cable subscribers. Fans can watch “Call of the Wild” Saturday mornings on ESPN2 and throughout the week on Comcast channel 13, and channel 23 is the Comcast areas formally run by Time Warner. The program focuses on Wild players, game highlights, special events, Xcel Energy Center,and community relations programs centered on Minnesota’s favorite sport. In addition, each show features a different Minnesota Wild guest who participates in both host and audience Q&A sessions.
Coverage of the show has also expanded to include the majority of the Metro region with the addition of communities formerly served by Time Warner Cable. “Call of the Wild” is taped before a live audience in restaurants and other businesses throughout Saint Paul and surrounding areas. With its unique on-air presence, the “Call of the Wild” reaches nearly 600,000 homes, multiple cable zones and fourteen counties on a weekly basis.
The Regional Emmy-nominated Minnesota Wild Country is a weekly magazine show dedicated to everything Minnesota Wild. The show is designed to take fans behind the scenes of the Wild organization. The show airs on KSTC.TV Channel 45 every Saturday at 5:30 PM. The show will re-air on Sunday nights at 11:00 PM throughout the remainder of the season.

Minnesota Wild Country was recently nominated for a Regional Emmy for Sports Programming.
The thirty-minute show includes weekly highlights, a spotlight feature and news and notes about the Wild and their primary development affiliate, the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). Other features of the show include highlights of the Wild in the community and the organization's grass roots campaign to preserve the interest and history of the state of hockey.
Hosted by Clay Matvick, Minnesota Wild Country includes reports from 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS sports anchors Rod Simons and Anne Hutchinson, as well as former NHL great Phil Housley.
KSTC.TV, Channel 45, is the Twin Cities’ only independent television broadcast station and debuted in September of 2000. Owned and operated by Hubbard Broadcasting, KSTC.TV joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS as Minnesota's first "duopoly": two stations owned by the same broadcasting company in a designated market area. In addition to being the only fully independent free over-the-air UHF television station, Channel 45 offers unique local and syndicated programming as well as local sports and entertainment.
